The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) is the regulator responsible for enforcing data protection compliance in Nigeria. It is an independent body established to oversee the implementation of the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA) and supervises data controllers and processors.

- The NDPC absorbed the functions of the former Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB).
- Sector-specific regulators, such as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), can also enforce data protection regulations within their respective sectors.
- The NDPC is authorized to collaborate with these other public authorities to ensure overall compliance with the NDPA
